Obtaining a student visa to study in Australia

If you wish to come to Australia to study with Basair then you can obtain a student visa.

This visa will be valid for 13 months and allows you to study, plus you can apply for permission to work up to 20 hours per week part time as well.

The steps to obtaining your visa are as follows:

  • Complete a visa application form. You can obtain one by downloading from here, or from an Australian Embassy or Consulate (see below). You can also download an information booklet about obtaining your student visa.
  • You will normally be required to undertake a medical examination for your visa. It is wise to try and join this with your aviation medical.
  • Complete your application form for joining Basair. The application form is supplied with information we e-mail or mail to you. The correct form is Form "I2". You can also download a form here.
  • Send your completed application form along with the additional documents listed on page 3 of the application form to Basair as soon as possible. You can fax your application to Basair to help start your application processing.
